"Three Caves Quest"

The Three Caves Quest is a fun, interactive, and educational program located
at historic Three Caves Quarry for grades 4-12. 

Three Caves, located at the base of Huntsville's Monte Sano Mountain, is a former quarry from which limestone was mined to use for roads for the growing city becoming known as "The Rocket City."  Mining ended in 1952 and Three Caves is developing into a natural cave.  It offers a glimpse into a unique geological window in time. 

The Quest consists of two parts:
A.  App. 45 hike focusing on plants and animals found 'round the Caves
B.  App. 45 minute tour of Three Caves (information on geology of Monte Sano Mountain, quarry history, and cave feature development including baby stalactites and Cave Pearls)

Teachers will receive a manual which includes quizzes and reference materials.
Cost is $25.00 for the first 25 participants (adults and students), then $1.00 per person over 25 participants.
